The Facilities department is responsible for providing corrective and preventive maintenance and support services for the building and all equipment at the Allston Landing Facility. Facilities is directly responsible for administering and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) utilized to plan and track asset maintenance so as to ensure the reliable, efficient and sustained operation of the facility and all equipment. Additionally, through daily tasks, Facilities supports current project operations and site goal objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate and site requirements.

The Maintenance Technician III performs preventive and corrective maintenance. The Maintenance Technician III troubleshoots, with minimal supervision, complex utility systems which may include Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), steam boiler, electronic control systems, refrigeration, electrical, compressed air and gases, Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Water For Injection (WFI) water, waste water treatment, pure/clean steam, and/or other Biotech/pharmaceuticals utilities.

Further duties may include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing process related equipment such as agitators/mixers chromatography columns, autoclaves, glass washers, and various sanitary design pumps and valves within a cleanroom environment.

The Maintenance Technician III also interprets drawings, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications in planning and performing maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Technician III is involved in new equipment and plant systems installs as necessary. They also provide day to day technical assistance to the Engineering Services, Metrology, and Validations groups.

The Maintenance Technician III also participates in authoring accurate documentation for the operation and maintenance of various utility systems. They also supply information and technical data for securing spare parts. The Maintenance Technician III assists in general facility up keep and provides responsive customer support with emphasis on customer satisfaction.


Basic Qualifications:

  • HS diploma and 5 years of experience working in a cGMP environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for a maintenance organization in a cGMP Biotech/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

  • Licensure any of the following areas: Waste Water Treatment, Refrigeration/Air Conditioning, Electrician, or Plumbing

  • Ability to work independently
