Kelly Services Network VOIP Technician in Ambler, Pennsylvania
Location: Ambler, PA
The position is part of Global Network/Voice Operations team. This is a 24/7 operations team supporting Cisco Data/Voice Infrastructure. Analyst will be responsible for working closely with the Network and VoIP Engineers and providing 2nd level technical assistance. Support typically takes the form of investigating and resolving problems, incident handling. Availability and performance monitoring, routine start-up and close-down and maintenance of operating plans and schedules.
Handles incident and service requests. Diagnoses faults and provides complete resolution to customer’s satisfaction. Acts as a point of contact for all customer escalations. Documents lessons learned to be fed back into the system and minimize end-user calls. Performs administration and configuration of Cisco systems. Ensures network management and inventory are kept up to date. Proactively manages open incidents and provides regular updates on status. Creates installation and troubleshooting documentation, when necessary. Identifies/recommends infrastructure upgrades and improvements based on industry best practices and the Cisco Lifecycle Services Approach. Performs routine system administration and maintenance on local or remote locations with no impact to the business. Participates in 24/7 support and on-call rotation, including incident management duties.
Education and Experience
3 Years previous experience in administering and support of Cisco 2+ years Voice/Data Network specific experience Bachelors Degree a plus
Corporate Telephony - Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Voicemail, Voice Gateways, Experience with Data Network technologies such as routers, switches and firewalls is a plus. Protocols: TCP/IP, IP subnetting, VLAN’s, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, QoS, SIP, H.323 Voice over IP and PBX functionality (Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, SIP, H.323, etc.) VPN and other remote connectivity Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls F5 Load balancers CCNA Routing/Switching a plus CCNA Voice a plus Flexible work schedule is a requirement, must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
