Responsible for processing residential family loans ensuring compliance with Company, investor, and regulatory agency standards. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verify and validate customer information on the loan application against supporting documents provided by the borrower and lender.
Review, analyze and calculate qualifying income documentation from various sources including personal tax returns to more complex business returns.
Review and analyze property valuations, assets and credit reports.
Responsible for processing files from submission to funding.
Review and validate files for completeness and accuracy.
Structure and organize files based on investor guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES:
Expert knowledge of underwriting approvals and conditions
Strong knowledge of FHA loan processing
Strong understanding of Good Faith Estimate (GFE), Truth In Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) rules
Knowledge of Desktop Originator (DO), Desktop Underwriter (DU), Loan Prospector (LP), Mortgage Insurance (MI) and conforming products/programs
Proficient in Encompass360
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Ability to follow CMS Mortgage Lending loan protocols
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, audibly, and quickly
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to handle detailed assignments
Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and to record, balance, and check results for accuracy
Ability to multi task to complete various tasks required
Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Three (3) or more years’ experience processing residential mortgage loans.
