Serves as a Project Electrical Engineer supporting the T4 program in the Northwest Mountain Region. The ideal candidate will possess 0-3 years of experience and knowledge in Electrical engineering. The candidate will attend site surveys in support of design and develop site survey reports including the evaluation of existing conditions and recommendations for the design based on the conditions, codes, and the Client design criteria. Creates and reviews design drawings and specifications for the alteration, modernization, or expansion of FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) facilities. The candidate will review technical submittals for specification, drawing and code compliance, assist in preparation of construction bid documents to include specifications and participate in proposal evaluations for construction contracts to qualified construction subcontractors. They may also provide periodic on-site inspection of construction work.

The candidate will provide engineering support during construction including responses to requests for information, development of independent estimates for potential change orders, and submittal review to ensure compliance with design documents, evaluate field problems and recommended solutions.

The candidate can also serve as the resident engineer on site during the construction phase of projects with support from the Parsons Project Manager and Resource Administrator.

Travel in the Western Service Area to support these duties and responsibilities will be required.


  • 15 years of relevant experience.

  • 100% Travel to job sites for completion of tasks

  • The ability to perform a variety of engineering duties by applying basic engineering techniques and analysis within one discipline and to diversify into multiple disciplines. Some assignments involve CAE/CAD applications.

  • Willingness to travel to construction site locations is expected.

  • Basic computer skills, including, but not limited to, MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel. Proficiency in utilizing scheduling software.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must have experience applying/relaying spec and drawing information to the construction environment.

  • Must have experience working with engineers, stakeholders, fabricators, utility companies, cable locators, etc.

  • Must be able to express technical information in a clear and concise manner to a nontechnical audience.

  • Must have laptop and mobile phone.

  • Must have Internet access capabilities.

  • Must have the ability to navigate the Internet.

  • Must have experience using email.

  • Must have experience taking photographs using a digital camera in addition to uploading files/photographs to a computer/memory device or internet site.

  • Must have experience/ability following guidelines, regulations, standards, directives, etc.

  • Must be familiar with general construction and proficiently operate heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by federal authorities will be performed.

  • A 2-year degree is preferred.
