University of Michigan Clinical Res Project Mgr Hlth in Ann Arbor, Michigan
The Department of Psychiatry is currently seeking a Project Manager to lead a state-wide project to increase medical provider support to provide medication assisted treatments for patient’s opioid use disorders. The Project Manager will have a working home-base at the University of Michigan and travel state-wide for meetings with community partners.
Candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the project. Will engage with clinical sites in target counties, plan enrollment meetings, be the primary point of contact for personnel and medical staff, ensure timely response to all requests for consultation to providers and telepsychiatry to patients by overseeing UM clinician scheduling, oversee contracting and legal documentation, provide technical assistance to clinical staff in the participating counties for using the referral systems, and producing evaluation reports for the program. Hiring and supervising project staff.
An experienced, master’s level program manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the project. Minimum of two years’ experience supervising others. The candidate for this position must be able to: 1) work well independently; 2) work flexible hours to accommodate meetings with community partners; 3) demonstrate a strong ability to establish rapport with individuals at all levels across multiple fields; 4) demonstrate a strong ability to keep accurate and detailed project records; and 4) show proficiency at multiple levels of project management, including managing budgets, hiring and supervising personnel, managing relationships with community partners, and developing and managing databases.
Preferred master's degree in public health, social work, or related field, and experience working with State-funded projects, knowledge of substance use disorders and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
This will be a full-time position located at UM and will require state-wide travel. Individual must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
Access to reliable transportation is required.
