Senior CADD Technician

PAE is currently seeking a CAD Technician to support US Embassy Operations Worldwide.

The Senior CAD Technician will:

  • Use Autodesk AutoCAD software to:

  • Prepare to scale architectural drawings representing site plan layouts.

  • Prepare to scale architectural drawings representing floor plan layouts.

  • Prepare scale elevation drawings depicting layout of electronic and electrical equipment.

  • Prepare isometric details of electrical and electronic equipment and riser diagrams.

  • Prepare electrical diagrams and single-line drawings.

  • Produce schedules.

  • Read and interpret electrical and electromechanical schematics and architectural drawings.

  • Communicate effectively with Design Engineer, Program Manager, and other staff.

  • Mentor junior staff.

  • Travel to Worldwide locations as required.

  • Perform other duties as required.


  • An Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience is required.

  • Five years of direct experience with Autodesk AutoCAD is required.

  • Must be proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD software.

  • Experience with Revit and Microstation

  • CADD Certification(s) preferred.

  • Experience creating Electrical / telecommunications drawings for commercial or government buildings is desired.

  • Must possess an active secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret.

  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally 10%-20% of the time.

  • Must be willing and able to live and work on remote sites in shared accommodations.
