This position resides within the Risk Strategy Integration team in the Citi Retail Services business. The primary responsibility is to support the coding and implementation of various acquisition risk strategies within the front-end decisioning system Blaze and in legacy acquisition platforms and bureau interface tools. The candidate will support private label and co-brand portfolios for consumer and commercial portfolios for both US and Canada.
The role focuses on working with risk management to define and understand the requirements, coding the strategies, following the request and production implementation policies, working with various internal IT groups to test the strategies, working with Risk to run and validate the rescores and application drops, obtaining sign-offs and implementing strategies into production and completion of post implementation analysis and validation. Decision areas include portfolio segmentation, approving and declining applicants and assigning credit lines. This is accomplished using policy decline rules, scoring and line assignment decisioning while producing the decision, exceptions, reason codes and letter codes back to the application processing system. The successful candidate will bring experience in Risk Management and Operations in a Credit Card business.
Critical areas of focus will be:
Front-end acquisition strategy coding and implementation
Portfolio segmentation, credit line assignment, policy rules, scoring and final decision areas
US and Canada consumer and commercial private label and co-brand cards
Risk Management, NAPS, testing and operation integration
Partner with Risk Management, Operations and Systems/Technology teams to support execution of risk management strategies in adherence to credit policies and relevant regulations.
Code, deploy and test new applicant credit risk strategies.
Follow Risk Policy and Strategy Execution procedures for implementing, tracking and reporting on strategy implementations and validating post implementation.
Proactively search for and propose enhancements to processes and development.
Participate in major and minor projects where risk systems support is required.
Business and Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of Retail Partner Cards decision systems.
Overall understanding of Acquisition and ECM policies and processes.
Understanding of lifecycle of cards and impacts to operations and customer touch points.
Strong communication and teamwork skills. Builds strong working relationships within and outside work group.
Outstanding investigative and problem solving skills.
Strong multi-tasking abilities and results oriented.
Understanding of decision tree programming.
5+ years experience in credit cards preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
SAS programming knowledge preferred.
NBSM (Experian), DA (Magnum), Blaze (FICO), Capstone (Apollo) or Scorex (Experian) experience preferred.
First Data or Total Systems experience preferred.
