Overview:

Responsibilities:

This is a trade’s position, based at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC), Iraq and will be managed by the On-Site Services Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing BDSC groundskeeping requirements. This position reports to the BDSC Groundskeeping Lead. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. DUTIES: - Become proficient in the use and completion of work orders (WO) produced by the Work Orders for Windows (WOW) database - Develop a comprehensive knowledge of: - O&M contract (SAQMMA-12-D-0165) - Request for Proposal (SAQMMA-12-R-0012-A001) - C.3.E BDSC Compound Maintenance - C.3.E.10 BDSC Exterior Areas - O&M Plan - Safety Plan - Quality Control Plan (QCP) - U.S. Department of State (DOS) Safety, Health and Environmental Management (SHEM) and U.S. Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) polices for groundskeeping services, equipment and materials - Develop a comprehensive knowledge of BDSC groundskeeping services, including: - Design layout, install and maintain shrubs, grass and turf, flower beds, organic and inorganic materials, and hardscape, with consideration for water conservations and costs - Grass cutting, weeding, mulching - Removal of groundskeeping trash - Street, drains, walkway, stairs, steps curbs, gutters, fence line and building entryway cleaning - Preparing outdoor athletic fields and special events areas - Hazardous (HazMat) and trash/waste handling, storage to designated collection points - Cleaning equipment use - Service Desk procedures - Logistics and warehousing procedures - Vehicle operations - Participate in equipment inventories - Develop and present training classes - Prepare and submit detailed purchase requests for groundskeeping consumables and equipment - Prepare and submit reports on scheduled, unscheduled and emergency carpentry WO for the Groundskeeping Lead - Prepare additional reports and perform additional duties as assigned by the Groundskeeping Lead

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE: - Ability to work effectively with multi-national staff and demanding customers REQUIRED: - Education: A high school diploma (or GED). A minimum of two years’ successful experience, in a groundskeeping position, in a desert environment, for an office and/or residential facility is preferred. Prior overseas experience is highly desirable - Security Vetting: Must be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract - Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills - Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required for this position - Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination DESIRED: - Relevant overseas contract experience - Experience working with PAE experience OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Knowledge of ALL principles and processes involved in operating and supporting appliance functions at an overseas facility - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules - Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel - Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team - Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change - Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information - Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team - Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change - Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information PAE is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
