PAE, Inc Operations Manager in Baghdad, Iraq

PAE is currently seeking a Operations Manager to support a large O&M support services contract at multiple U.S. government sites in Iraq. This position reports to the Program Manager and will be responsible for the daily oversight of O&M services at their assigned site ensuring professional and quality services are provided to the Customer in accordance with program requirements. The additional duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:
Essential Job Duties:
Provide efficient management and smooth operation of a large compound in Iraq.
Ensure excellent service provision in the areas of logistics, catering, laundry, custodial services, administration, maintenance, finance, procurement, billeting, and grounds keeping.
Manage the compound office including staff, finances and facilities.
Develop relationships and liaise with partners and service users.
Ensure service delivery meets the needs of PAE’s client and service users.
Provide Finance, Human Resources and Administrative support as well as provide regular communication updates.
Perform other duties as required
Minimum twelve (12) years of directly related professional experience, with at least 5 of those years in a supervisory role
Proven experience should include capabilities in the following service areas, to include: power generation, fuel operations (bulk and retail), water purification and distribution, sewage treatment, management of electrical, plumbing, heating-ventilation-air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry and other types of building maintenance support, grounds keeping and custodial services, motor pool/motor vehicle maintenance, building automation systems (BAS), cable TV and compound communication networks, light construction projects, quality assurance/quality control, and personnel housing management
Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education: A high school diploma or educational equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related discipline is highly preferred. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of college degree.
Security Vetting: Must obtain/maintain an active DoD or DoS Secret security clearance and maintain eligibility for the duration of the contract (U.S. citizenship required)
Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills.
Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credential(s).
Relevant overseas Operations & Maintenance (O&M) experience, preferably in the Middle East.
Department of State (DoS) and/or PAE program experience preferred
Willingness and ability to deploy to Iraq for extended periods is required. Position may be located in a war zone in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment - temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere and extreme environment.
Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including but not limited to heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time; and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
Must be able to work a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums.
