QA / QC Inspector - PSO-005



The QA/QC Inspector will implement inspection procedures for all areas of the project. Functional independence of the QA/QC section ensures attention of the immediate corporate management if discrepancies in specifications or craftsmanship cannot be resolved satisfactorily at the project level. The individual filling this position will be supporting PAE, working on contracts, supporting the U S Department of State’s Mission in Iraq. DUTIES: Provision of Quality oversight of PAE performance is the responsibility of the QA/QC Inspector, who will report functionally to the QA/QC Manager; Quality Inspector responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Perform inspections and audits at the job site. - Understand and use contractual requirements and applicable standards in performance of inspection duties, particularly verifications. - Objectively document inspection results, tests, and related corrective actions. - Conduct timely follow-up inspections on corrective actions and verify completion and compliance to the contractual requirements and project specifications. - Collect data for surveyed service areas. - Prepare and provide required reports to management. - Promote quality culture among PAE employees and provide support in achieving and exceeding contractual requirements and continuous improvement. - Ensure optimal use of resources in terms of allocated time and equipment in achieving Company’s goals. - Other duties as assigned.


Experience: - Experience in an OCONUS environment. - 5 years of experience preferred of working as an inspector/auditor, or in similar jobs that fulfill the required skill-set. - Certified Quality Inspector accreditation preferred. - Knowledge in the discipline of operations and maintenance projects in an international environment preferred. - Citizenship: US citizenship is NOT required for this position. - Security Vetting: Already possess a Minimum Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract. - Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination. Education Required: - Typically acquired through a four year high school diploma, preferably with a QA/QC related certification and training. Language Skills: - Must be able to read, speak, write and comprehend English beyond a 12th grade level. - Ability to effectively present information orally and in writing, and respond to questions from management. - Ability to write reports. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Advanced ability to visually inspect, verify and review material, equipment, tools, operational areas, and documentation to the established standards. - Advanced ability to read, understand, and apply contractual requirements, standards, specifications, governmental regulations, or technical procedures. - Good knowledge of surveillance methods used in the services providing environment. - Willingness to learn and advance the required skills. - Advanced ability to handle tasks and details in a dynamic, fast-paced multi-national environment. - Computer skills in word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.
