PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Scale, Enablement and Transformation (SET) team drives innovation adoption at scale, in the cloud and everywhere. SET is responsible for the simplified implementation experience of the new digital core (SAP S/4 HANA) and end-to-end (E2E) solutions. This includes SAP Activate to help partners and customers start fast, and continuously adopt innovations.
We are looking for an information developer to join our Info-Development Team. You will work closely together with our development teams, with central KM teams, and with product owners. Additional you will coordinate the requirements, technical execution and help other information developers in Palo Alto, Waldorf and Shanghai.
Our Lean Development Model, an agile development method, empowers teams and requires strong team and collaboration skills.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Your job will be to ensure that exactly the right information is available in the right place, at the right time; the customer will benefit from concise and accurate help that clearly describes the functions provided by the SAP applications.
Your tasks will include:
Editing of Implementation Content within a Best Practices project using the appropriate templates, Standards & Guidelines and specific terminology
Coordination with other information developers in the different locations
Ensuring quality aspects and adherence to standards and guidelines
Coordination of translation activities
Knowledge transfer to colleagues
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
A good to excellent university degree in technical writing or a related subject or, alternatively, a language-based university degree
Preferably native English speaker with excellent oral and written knowledge of English
Proven experience in technical writing
Proven experience in documentation tools and documentation standards as well as MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint
Knowing how to use Ixiasoft is a plus
Willingness to acquire extensive product knowledge and learn new skills at short notice
The ability to express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner
Outstanding communication and writing skills
The ability to work to tight deadlines, deliver on time, and ensure high quality
Flexibility and a readiness to communicate with other team members and to participate in knowledge transfer
3 years work experience, preferably in information development
Experience in information development coordination or project management is a plus
Experience in working with international teams is a plus
