Job Description:

The Engineering Services Team is looking for a Developer Tools Engineer to join the team that is building the NextGen Infrastructure that is using latest technologies. This is an exciting time for Engineering Services, who is looking for people that can help with this transition. Would love to have an opportunity to learn from the new hire, who can bring the latest skills and technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support various tools and applications related to Perf Infrastructure - to manage and qualify cloud based products

  • Responsible to architect, design, develop and maintain the Perf Tools and Infrastructure for developers and QA teams, using the Open source technologies

  • Collaborate with architects to ensure best practices for tools development, are being adhered

  • Continuous learning and research to adopt latest technologies and work with teams to implement them

  • Leverage the version control tools (Perforce, Git), Code Review tool (Crucible), Jenkins and artifact repository (Nexus), build system (Maven, Make, Gradle)

  • Assist in guiding the team towards applying industry standard software development processes.

  • Participate and lead in all phases of the software development cycle

  • Lead the team on assigned projects and mentor junior team members as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.E./M.S. Computer Science degree or similar

  • 4 years working experience in Development or Automation engineering

  • Very good experience in core Java and scripting languages like Perl, etc

  • Proficient in object oriented design principles.

  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux environments

  • Exposure to container based technologies (Docker, Consul, Nomad, Kubernetes, Mesos, etc) and a few performance engineering tools

  • Excellent communication skills and an excellent team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have expert level experience in Core Development or Automation Infrastructure Development technologies

  • Experience in SQL/PL SQL development using RDBMS technologies

  • Experience in NoSQL DBs and the latest UI technologies like Angular.js etc

  • Experience with web application servers like Tomcat, etc
