Job Description

Position at Renovation/Remodeling

The ITW Renovation/Remodeling is seeking a Machine/Equipment Operator (2nd Shift) who will be required to run multiple high-speed packaging lines and also conduct hand-packing and box making. The Operator must work in a safe, efficient, and productive manner with an emphasis on teamwork and possess the ability to work with and lead teams of up to 5 people.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the operation of all machines, including set-ups, changeovers, and necessary adjustments to the lines

  • Maintain the line during production with all necessary product and materials

  • Be accountable for running any line at an acceptable and consistent productivity rate

  • Assist in training of all inexperienced personnel on all procedures, policies, and equipment. Assist any temporary helpers by training and follow up on daily jobs, in order to maximize productivity

  • Oversee quality control on packages being produced

  • Continually inspect raw materials and finished goods, as well as product, labels, containers, and boxes

  • Record all necessary paperwork, log sheets, timecards, and quality check sheets in accordance with facility requirements

  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards; keep all areas of production clean, safe and organized

  • Maintain 100% compliance on all safety rules, both posted and communicated verbally

  • Demonstrate teamwork skills and communication

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High School Degree/GED or equivalent

  • Ability to communicate both written and verbally in English

  • Must be able to work 2:30 PM - 11 PM

  • One year of industrial experience

  • Must be flexible with overtime and weekends as required

  • Forklift certified a plus, but not requirement

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis

  • Ability to regularly bend, kneel, lift, stand and walk on hard surfaces such as concrete
