H&E Equipment Services has an opening for a Tax Accounting Coordinator. This position will be responsible for assisting with all sales and use tax related compliance and tax systems maintenance for the company.
Prepare sales and use tax returns and related work papers
Process and research customer A/R account tax corrections
High degree of accuracy interpreting and analyzing numerical data
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
Respond to customer, vendor and intercompany sales and use tax questions and request
Assist with maintenance of tax software systems including customer certificate setup
Assist with external tax audits and SOX compliance procedures
Support sales and use tax accounting and reporting process as needed
Report generation in Excel including large amounts of tax data and performing data analytics
Special projects as assigned
A minimum of 1-5 years previous sales and use tax experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Previous experience with ERP systems (ie. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) and Vertex O-series and Returns
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or Technical degree preferred
