Designation : Digital Selling Specialist

Purpose and Objectives :

The digital economy has created new lines of business and methods of connecting with the customer that are revolutionizing the Go-To-Market approach at SAP. A growing Commercial Sales team and increasing requirements to sell Cloud solutions across all regions mean that we have to focus on innovative ways to continuously communicate with our customers.

The Digital Selling Specialist (DSS) works as part of a small global team to design, create, maintain, install, and train on innovatitve remote presentation technologies and techniques including live presentation scenarios and recorded videos. In this role the DSS will:

  • Design and create inspiring, impactful training as well as best practice content for Virtual Studios (live presentations) and video

  • Work with regional teams to understand how to apply these new technologies as well as pull in their resulting best practice content

  • Identify and communicate real world use cases

  • Train different locations, either remotely or face to face

  • Audit existing locations, provide advice and upgrade support

  • Work on simplification processes

  • Support regional/local teams in best practices Virtual Studio and Video use

  • Run the Video and Virtual Studio global community and supporting Jam site. Ensure the site is kept up to date with the latest assets

  • Identify new ways of using video/virtual technology in the sales cycle and communicate them across the user ecosystem

  • Identify, test and recommend new remote technology solutions

  • Be able to Install and upgrade both Virtual Studio and Video equipment

  • Work on the SAP Video Asset Calalogue, finding or creating great video assets to be available globally

  • Work with MU and regional teams to shoot quality video assets in local language


  • The Digital Selling Specialist is expected to have a BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Media or Computer Science and 3 or more years of overall sales, Presales or remote technology experience.In addition they should have experince in remote technologies, being an avid user of remote presentation and video capabilitiesThe successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to work closely with Sales and Presales on planning and execution of remote capabilities

  • Be passionate, proactive, flexible and have ability to work with multiple teams in a matrix environment

  • A solid understanding of how to impact the business

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and organizational skills

  • The ability to talk with different audiences, adjusting content between Executive and technical audiences

  • Ability and willingness to travel globally

  • Advanced English capability
