Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be part of a team supporting settlement operations within the Prime Brokerage department. This includes but is not limited to EMEA markets.

To provide transactional processing support for the respective products.

Provide feedback around ways to increase STP and to ensure adherence to audit and control policies.

Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods


Utilize knowledge in order to deliver quality service and achieve operating efficiency.

Minimize risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements.

Perform multiple transactions of moderate complexity to achieve operating efficiency and high level of productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• The accurate and timely settlement of all activity in given area

i) Volume capture and workload projections

ii) Allocation of workload amongst team

iii) Reconciliation of OTC and street /market side trades

iv) Timely resolution of any inventory issue that may arise

v) Client asset segregation and management of balances

vi) Reporting volumes, achievements and issues to the correct level

• Escalation of operational or identified errors / potential risks to line manager upon discovery.

• Liaise with internal partners and stakeholders to promote confidence in the team

• Ensure accurate MIS recorded on a weekly basis.

• Assist with team/dept. projects. Complete User Acceptance Testing on enhancements to systems and regression testing.

• Own and drive process improvement and team results

• To support the TL to ensure all responsibilities are met

• Adhere to all Departmental and Regulatory Procedures and Controls

• Experience in a team environment

• PC proficient incl Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Analytical and Numerate proven ability

• Ability to research and identify large and complex issues


• Understanding of Cash Equity and stock loan business

• Requirements gathering and UA testing

• Certificate in Applied financial service or other industry certification eg CISI
