Bayer QA SAP Analyst Product Release in Berkeley, California

Your tasks and responsibilities

Support all SAP activities/issues related to the release of raw material, intermediate and final container product. Manage QA Inspection Plans in SAP. 1. Partner with local SAP business process owners and divisional/global SAP system representatives to drive issue resolution, process development and continuous system improvement. Participate in the development of strategies to remove inefficiencies and redundancies in data handling and management; implement agreed to strategies for improved processes 2. Manage, train and maintain QA SAP roles/responsibilities and related transactions on site level 3. Operate as primary point of contact for QA SAP related issues/topics and represent QA as SAP SME in cross-functional teams. Support activities such as periodic reviews, self assessments and Part 11 assessments to monitor and improve compliance 4. Perform QA activities for the creation and revision of Inspection Plans in SAP per approved CCRs. Review and update risk assessments on raw materials 5. Support batch release (e.g. raw materials, upstream intermediates: buffers, media) when requested 6. Address/troubleshoot QA release observations, deviations, investigations and corresponding corrective/preventive actions 7. Use of SAP, the Deviation Management System, SCORE, ValGenesis or other electronic systems to accomplish work tasks 8. Support internal and external inspections and audits.

More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Qualifications; Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 6 years of overall experience, including 3 years of performing relevant activities including working in a cGMP compliant environment • Proven ability as a team player. • Ability to learn new skills rapidly • Attention to detail • Ability to work efficiently • Ability to follow instructions and SOPs precisely • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and communication skills • Profound SAP knowledge preferred • Root Cause Investigation and Corrective/Preventive Action experience preferred • Thorough understanding of cGMPs and regulatory expectations • Ability to communicate knowledge to peers and colleagues from other departments requiring a thorough understanding of computer systems used in GMP environment
