Procurement Operations Analyst

Description -


  • Drives Laser DASIC Commodity Strategy that provides an HP competitive advantage; Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the electrical hardware design organization; Accelerate value creation through innovation via innovation reviews with key suppliers and R&D partners to ensure appropriate adoption of technology solutions that create unique value for HP products.

  • Actively manages RFQ / NPI program milestones for assigned projects and ensure supplier performance meets commitments and HP expectations. Ensure samples, prototypes, and production material is available to meet requirements.

  • Drives robust supply chain system; Manage BCP events, supplier BCP assessments and BCP improvement plans as appropriate.

  • Negotiates support and competitive pricing on legacy components as appropriate.

  • Manages contractual agreements to protect HP interests.

  • Utilizes processes & tools to manage assigned commodities; Provides regular updates to pricing/spend tools as required.

  • Utilizes SPM process to monitor supply base performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Works globally insupport of a worldwide team and supply base.


Education and Experience Required

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree. University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or Computer Sciences preferred.

  • Typically 2-4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function.

Knowledge and SkillsRequired:

  • Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills. Presentation and negotiation abilities; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.

  • Strong business application skills (ie. Microsoft excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Basic understanding of corporate compliance.

  • Basic Project Management skills. Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans

  • Strong understanding ofprocurement processes.

  • Solid understanding offundamental contracting principles. Ability to create a contract usingstandard company contract templates with supervision.

  • Self-starter. Innerdrive to proactively drive team/supply base to meet objectives/requirements.
