Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Nurse Credentialing and Quality Liaison in Boston, Massachusetts
Description Under the direction of the Director, Quality and Patient Safety & Credentialing Manager, the Nurse Credentialing and Quality Liaison will provide support to the hospital’s quality and credentialing programs. S/he will have a solid foundation in the basic functions of evaluating the organization’s Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) program and will execute the program. In addition, this individual will identify trends and provide analysis and reports, with the goal of assisting the department chiefs in fulfilling the program. The individual will possess excellent interpersonal skills, maturity, a keen analytic skill set and strong project management skills. Knowledge of software applications (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point), and knowledge of the electronic medical record system is integral to the position. Additionally, the Credentialing and Quality Liaison must display initiative with problem solving and work in a coordinated, aligned manner with the clinical staff, medical staff, Medical Staff Office and departmental leadership. He/She will report to the Director, Quality and Patient Safety and the Credentialing Manager.
Requirements Bachelor’s and Master’s degree preferred Ability to work collaboratively with all disciplines Excellent organizational skills Excellent verbal and written skills Competent computer skills Five years’ experience in Clinical Performance Improvement, or quality related tasks preferred Patient care experience required.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION: Currently licensed and as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts required Certified in medical staff credentaling preferred Membership in professional organization strongly desired
