The Senior Digital Program Lead is a leadership role in our North American Regional Digital Solution Center. As part of a fast paced, execution driven team, they are responsible for evolving our program and project management capabilities to ensure a consistent, high quality of delivery for our internal clients. They will manage a team of Digital Project Managers (DPMs) in Bridgewater, NJ, Westborough, MA and other NA locations as necessary. This team will be a mix of Sanofi employees, Development partners (such as Accenture) or direct contractors. This individual will also perform PM duties on key projects and must be a strong self-manager.

The Senior Digital Program Lead will provide oversight to all NA digital projects, ensuring sound delivery: within budget, specified timelines, standards of quality, and agreed upon scope. In addition to providing direction to a team of DPMs, they will maintain stakeholder relationships with key ITS Business Partners and management teams in our NA divisions of Global Business Units (GBUs).

Primary Responsibilities

1.Exceptional Program Management: Own and manage the portfolio of NA digital projects from inception through completion to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, error free and meet internal stakeholder needs.

2.Effectively manage risk. Be involved and aware of major milestones for each project, able to identify potential risks before they happen and guide team on mitigation.

3.Provide overall financial management and oversight of all projects in their portfolio

4.Team leadership: Manage team of internal (Sanofi) and external project managers and ensure standards and best practices are being followed. Able to manage resources in multiple locations.

5.Develop and maintain a detailed project portfolio to monitor and track progress of all NA projects. Regularly update stakeholders, Global Digital Solutions Lead, and Global Digital Development Lead with this information.

6.Build trusted relationship with Brands, ITS Business Partners and the Marketing Support team. Communicate regularly and proactively perform customer management

7.Serve as point of escalation for projects when necessary; Work closely with BP and Global Digital Solutions Lead to manage customer expectations and communication when necessary

8.Actively manage the pipeline and accurately forecast demand. Partner with the Marketing Support team, Brands and the ITS BPs to maintain a 90-day rolling forecast for services

9.Create and manage project staffing plan. Analyzes the demand for services and assesses resource capabilities and availability. Assigns resources to projects.

10.Manage multiple develop options (internal, external) and guide the team to choose the best one for each project.

11.Leads regular status updates to the wider Solution Center Team and provides recommendations to address misalignment that spans GBUs, operations, technology and business areas.

12.Perform project management role on key initiatives, and thereby guaranteeing the highest level of delivery excellence. Demonstrate the “gold standard” in PM role.

13.Identify and communicate issues, challenges and opportunities to Global Digital Solution Lead on an on-going basis and ensure team is aligned with direction given.

Secondary Responsibilities

Be the point of escalation for vendor delivery and accountability for projects. Provides an overall view of vendor performance in NA and helps manage vendor for Brands, Global Solution Center Lead and Procurement.

Ensure that resources are being fully utilized and that individuals are developing their skills

Create a customer service oriented culture within the team

Supports recruitment efforts when necessary. Keeps a “warm bench” bench of resources; Know individuals who might be available to onboard and staff projects in a timely manner

Global collaboration: Stay connected to Global Development Lead and other Regional Solution Centers to share best practices.

Global Teamwork: Provide resource assistance to projects from other Regional Solution Centers when necessary to balance workload.


Key Skills and Experience Required

6-9 years relevant, experience in hands-on delivery of digital projects

2-3 years of people management

Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of project management

Experience working on a global team

Well versed in various project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile and Scrum

Customer service oriented approach and ability to effectively senior manage stakeholders

Budget management experience

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

Poor communications skills

Uncomfortable in dealing with difficult situations with senior stakeholders

Unable to shift ways of working to rapidly changing projects and priorities in the digital space
