Provide leadership to the Bridgewater, NJ Facilities Planning team as well as provide support to the Sanofi Business Services North America (SBS-NA) teams including but not limited to Facilities & Records Management, Facility Management, Client Services, and Real Estate in New Jersey and other North America sites as required to successfully support all facilities planning initiatives and other efforts as requested.

Work as a liaison and communicator between business leaders, stakeholders, end users, master planning, and engineering teams to ensure that all planning and moves are performed in a timely and high quality manner. Serve as the primary point contact for all key stakeholders within the Bridgewater real estate portfolio for all business units (including but not limited to Sanofi Genzyme, Diabetes & Cardiovascular, General Medicines and Emerging Markets, Research & Development, and ITS) and leadership teams (including but not limited to the BU executive leadership teams, the Country Council, and the R&D Hub LT) to ensure that all facilities planning goals are met in a timely manner to support the business units’ defined strategies and objectives.

Ensure the integrity of the Bridgewater facilities planning data; ensure that all information is kept up to date within the facilities planning system. Manage all processes related to space allocations both internal and external to the system; accountable for reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual data for capacity, occupancy, utilization, and allocations within the Bridgewater portfolio.

Lead the assignment of space to new hires and end users relocating through the defined Facilities Planning and Move processes and ensure facilities planning database is updated based on such changes. Support SBS Real Estate as needed with acquiring and disposing of space, administrative responsibilities and documentation, and tasks related to any RE activities per Sanofi’s global requirements.

Participate in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of related end-to-end processes such as On-boarding and Off-boarding.


Strategic Oversight of Facilities Planning and Move Operations

  • Provide leadership to the Bridgewater Facilities Planning & Move Operations team for day-to-day facilities planning and move activities as well as for strategic projects in support of defined business and customers’ needs.

  • Combine the disciplines of project management and people management for effective collaboration on all activities; manage the efforts of extended team members and business partners from various functional areas and engage key stakeholders in the problem solving process.

  • Ability to influence decisions and prioritize resources; flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.

Overall Coordination and Planning for Strategic Projects and Moves

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for facility planning and move activities; develop and analyze scenarios with the Real Estate team to align the corporate portfolio with the organization’s business plans. Ensure the resulting plans optimize the utilization of corporate facilities and resources.

  • The ability to demonstrate the overall merits of the recommendations to stakeholders in a way that gains their support and achieves a consensus agreement.

  • Regular communication with senior management is required to ensure that project activities maintain alignment with business priorities.

Overall management of the Sanofi Integrated Computer Aided Facilities Management System (CAFM) and Related Processes

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in the management of the CAFM system and reporting related to the Bridgewater portfolio. Responsible for the effective management and delivery of the related services; oversee and ensure effectiveness of system and processes across multiple buildings and sites.

  • Accountable for accuracy of facilities planning data; ensure the drawings and database are updated in a timely manner to account for all moves, adds, and changes within the portfolio; including accounting for all on and off boarding activity of contractors and full-time employees.

  • Accountable for site audits to ensure legitimacy of floor plans; update floor plans as necessary to reflect as-built conditions as noted and following large projects, project moves, and other reconfiguration or renovation projects.

  • Ensure CAFM/ IT systems are updated as required. Interface with Finance and others to ensure information is provided to support annual space allocation processes.

  • Ensure that appropriate documentation, implementation and communication of established policy, procedures and operating standards is completed for area of responsibility.

  • Coordinate facilities planning data and drawings with SBS CAFM Manager.

  • Participate in related process improvement projects for North America in support of defined SBS goals.

Bridgewater Budget

  • Accountable for developing and managing the Bridgewater Facilities Planning Opex budget and coordination of the same with leadership and finance.

Leadership and development of Bridgewater Facilities Planning and Move Operations team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university

  • A minimum of ten years' of experience that includes:

  • Experience in space planning and facilities management, some administrative work required

  • Proficient in Microsoft basics such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, IWMS systems and AutoCAD

  • Experience in interior design, architectural design, and drafting

  • Knowledge of office systems furniture and general finish specifications

  • Knowledge of general building codes

  • Able to handle a variety of simultaneous projects and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
