Compliance Coordinator

Location: Bronx, NY

FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt

Classification: Professional

Department: Preserving Housing

Office: Homebase Expansion CD9 and CD12

Reports to: Program Director

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Summary: This position provides direct supervision to the daily operational activities of the Homebase program office. Ascertains compliance with the HomeBase guidelines by conducting periodic case review. Assists the Assistant Program Director in supervising the case managers to ensure the effective provision of case management services pursuant to the HomeBase (DHS) program guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise day-to-day office operations.

  • Provide daily and weekly supervision to all case managers, focusing on all aspects of job responsibilities: client-worker interaction, engagement efforts, outreach, assessment of need, documentation of services provided, attendance and overall job performance.

  • Provide onsite staff training as needed.

  • Meet regularly with immediate supervisor to review overall functioning of assigned sites.

  • Collaborate and consult with other CCCS programs regularly where appropriate.

  • Complete all required program, statistical and fiscal reports in a timely manner.

  • Attend inter-office meetings and outside agencies’ meetings as appropriate.

  • Participate in developing program activities, staff training and curriculum development.

  • Monitor budget expenditures and fiscal accountability.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally 9:00 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. Additional hours may be required to meet program deadlines.

Working conditions and physical demands required:

The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Travel using reliable transportation, traversing streets, ascending/descending stairs, and exposed to outside weather conditions.

  • Remain in a stationary position at a work station and use a computer approximately 40% of the time.

  • Frequently sit for long periods attending meetings.


Education and/or experience required:

  • Master’s Degree; or, at least five (5) years’ experience in the housing and/or eviction prevention field.

  • At least two (2) years’ supervisory experience.

Skills, Licenses, and/or competencies required:

  • Bilingual, Spanish-English, a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of New York State Social Service delivery systems.

  • Good organizational, time-management and communication skills.

  • Must possess the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
