The COO team at SAP BeLux aims to provide a foundation for sales execution by fostering deal execution , based on a global SAP model which is called Franchise4Succes.
As part of this team, the Commercial Support specialist is the first point of contact for the Account Executives within Global Customer Operation (GCO sales) for preparing for deal approvals, quotations and for providing SAP commercial guidance in general. In addition the person will support the Managing Director to prepare for commercial approvals.
The Commercial support specialist will work in close collaboration with the Commercial Operation department, within the Finance area. This team is a team of specialists which work with GCO sales to finalize quotations, contracts and commercial operational elements in general.
The overall mission of the Commercial Support specialist is to support the SAP sales team to create bigger, faster and safer deals, by being a specialist on the commercial processes.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
She or he drives and supports the success of the GCO sales by supporting them on the following areas:
Support on commercial processes such as Deal Approval, Contract Creation support, Contract Approval, standard aspects on Revenue Recognition, Pricing and Contract pre-approved drill downs, especially during deal closure cycles.
A first point of contact for advising GCO sales on Deal Approval / Delegation of Authority (DOA) so that it may achieve compliance with existing internal procedures.
Responsible for guiding GCO sales on all existing Commercial policies and guidelines to effectively structure and execute Deal closure.
Support Sales teams on the more strategic pricing functions, as well as provide advice on more complex and challenging licensing questions requiring strong analytical ability to provide unique solutions to pricing issues.
All of the above, closely aligned with the specialists in the Commercial Operation Team. Actively involved in directing the creation of assets to educate and inform account executives.
In order to get knowledgeable on these SAP specific commercial processes, she or he will be trained by the local BeLux team and regional specialized teams. Continues learning and further specialization on the job will be required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Education: Bachelor (or equivalent) minimum requirement
Excellent command and fluency in Dutch, French and English both written and verbal.
Strong self-starter with the ability to make things happen individually and through extended team effort.
Strong problem structuring and solving skills – paired with a high level of energy, resilience.
Pro-active driver, results-oriented, with can-do-attitude
