Within banking, Product Control is responsible for financial reporting of a trading desk.

We represent the primary control function, monitoring trading activity, controlling daily profit and loss reporting, price verification and new trading activity.

The department is organized into product-aligned teams such as credit, FX, equity, money markets, rates, cash, derivative, as well as structured and exotic variants of the following asset classes.

Our Budapest office is deeply integrated part of the EMEA regional hub, establishing direct contact with the business and finance areas in the regional center.

Job responsibilities:

  • Preparation of daily P&L's after the trading activity of the respective products, review with traders and explanation of P&L movements to management.

  • Daily interaction with traders in London, Middle Office, Risk Management and Accounting Policy on review complex transactions for pricing, reserving and control issues.

  • Promoting high data quality between front and back office systems.

  • Ensuring that the firm's risk portfolios are fairly valued and market-leading standards are achieved through continuous development and maintenance of strong controls.

  • Active participation in projects to develop the control infrastructure and facilitate business growth.

  • University/College degree, specialized in Accounting/Finance

  • Excellent spoken and written English

  • Good understanding of Capital Markets

  • Strong analytical background

  • Strong MsOffice computer skills (especially Excel)

  • Good financial accounting skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to meet tight reporting and project deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills - written and oral

  • Good negotiation skills.
