Robert Half Finance & Accounting Vice President, Sales and Marketing in Burnaby, British Columbia
Our client, a full service contract manufacturer in food and nutritional health is sourcing for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The position will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic plans for product and market expansion. This role will support corporate management in achieving sales and profit objectives while providing leadership to for the Sales & Marketing team. The VP of sales will also determine new market expansion and play an integral role in strengthening relationships with customers and suppliers. The successful candidate will also oversee the sales department annual budgets. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectives.
Develop overall marketing plans and strategies.
Identify and develop new product, distribution and sales opportunities.
Identify and present new business opportunities to existing and new clients.
Improvement of sales strategies and tactics based on thorough analysis of market research, industry forces and competitor analysis.
Lead cross-functional efforts involving R&D;, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, legal and other areas to define, develop, register, manufacture, and market products.
Work with creative, IT and other personnel to develop strong and consistent company branding and positioning.
Develop procedures to measure and track division and team progress.
Oversee development and production of promotional and collateral materials.
Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market return.
Resolve conflicts and facilitate changes in structure to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to marketing problems and opportunities.
Develop effective marketing feedback mechanisms relating to department efforts.
Create the structure and processes necessary to manage the company activities and growth.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar concentration.
5+ years of experience in a senior level marketing and management position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Progressive experience within a distribution/manufacturing operation.
Strong negotiation skills.
Demonstrated focus on customer experience and satisfaction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Able to build rapport and partner at all levels of the organization.
