Billing Clerk The Billing Clerk is selected and appointed by the Assistant Controller and the Vice President of Finance/Controller and is delegated sufficient authority to make decisions and take actions necessary to satisfy the responsibilities of his/her position.

  • Authority to question management regarding discrepancies with technician weekly/daily time sheets and sales quotations.

  • Authority to determine necessary tax cost category changes when necessary.

  • Authority to take any reasonable action necessary to satisfy the responsibilities of this position, so long as such action is consistent with sound business judgment and does not deviate from established company policies or prior directions. Billing Clerk Responsibilities Billing Clerk primary responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for the processing of accurate and timely invoicing.

  • Responsible for install billing when necessary.

  • Responsible for timely processing completed works to invoice review.

  • Responsible for invoice corrections to correct systems limitation errors for tax (ex. Licenses).

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a high level of cooperation and teamwork within this workgroup, and between this group and the other departments.

  • Responsible for daily deposit.

  • Responsible for monthly sales journal accrual.

  • Responsible for using correct tax rates. Billing Clerk Duties The duties of the Billing Clerk include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Process all T&M; and zero dollar invoices.

  • Close and issue billing worksheets for approval of completed work orders.

  • Correct any billing errors before invoices are issued to the customer.

  • Notifies necessary departments of any system issues regarding billing or Tech Anywhere.

  • Mail or email completed invoices to customer for payment.

  • Perform any other job-related duties assigned for the betterment of the company

  • Perform any other job related duties assigned from the Assistant Controller.

  • Process out of state invoices with correct tax rate.

  • Process daily deposit.

  • Run monthly sales journal accrual.
