Associate Director, Clinical Trial Simulation

The Department of Translational Informatics at Sanofi hastwo openings in the Clinical Trial Simulation group. The location of thepositions is either in Bridgewater, New Jersey or Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Translational informatics is a multidisciplinary departmentfocusing on pharmacometrics, modeling and simulation in developing, testing,and exploiting quantitative relationships to facilitate critical decisions thatspan the drug discovery and development process.

As a member of the Clinical Trial Simulation (CTS) group,the individual will:

  • Providemodeling and CTS supports to clinical trial design, drug developmentplanning, licensing candidates evaluation,and critical post-marketing commitments to guide decision making;

  • Providemodeling and CTS support for regulatory filings and/or in response toregulatory requests;

  • Closelycollaborate with project teams consisting of members of different functions;

  • Performrelated modeling and clinical trial simulations, in addition to any requiredmethodology research;

  • To gainsufficient clinical trial experience, the individual might also participate inclinical trial design, trial conduct and statistical analysis.

Candidate should have in depth understanding of statisticaland/or pharmacometrics concepts and techniques, has demonstrated ability toconduct methodology research and ability to perform simulation using variouspackages. Candidate should have excellent communication/interpersonal skills,be highly self-motivated; have ability to successfully conduct multi-tasks,work independently under minimal supervision; pay attention to details and workwell in a team environment.




  • PhD in quantitative sciencesincluding statistics, biostatistics, engineering, mathematics, computationalscience, or a field with significant modeling-related content is preferred.Ph.D. or M.S. with less experience but high motivation can be considered. The level of appointment depends on qualification and experience.

  • 4 years of experiences in pharmaceutical industry and clinical trial knowledgeare preferred.
