Systems Engineer SME

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer and stakeholder needs and translate them into technical requirements

  • Assist business units in expressing their needs in terms that can be used to generate valid requirements

  • Help business units identify technology solutions with the potential to improve business processes

  • Work with stakeholders as well as technical and analytical counterparts to definite constraints, and develop solutions

  • Work with stakeholders to identify best-fit technical solutions for business unit needs

  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Provide assistance to project or program teams

  • Coordinate and manage the resolution of inter-segment problems

  • Identify potential environmental impacts on systems

  • Record lessons learned, processes and procedures, and other pertinent quality topics in appropriate formats

  • Work with project personnel to resolve schedule problems and ensure applications and systems are transitioned in a timely manner

  • Identify hardware and applications needed to complete the development process

  • Participate in project or program team activities

Required Clearance

This position requires a TS/SCI w/ poly



Mandatory Qualifications

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience identifying, analyzing, defining, and coordinating user, customer and stakeholder needs and translate them into technical requirements

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience exhibiting writing skills with the ability to tailor language, translate technical speak for any audience to include senior executives

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Cloud related technologies

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience enabling process improvements to the overall operations and efficiency of an organization

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with project management concepts and principles to include planning, scope of work, time estimation, and resource assignment

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Enterprise Lean Agile or SAFe

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with current and future technology trends

  • At least 5 years demonstrated on-the-job experience as a SharePoint Site Collection Administrator (SCA)

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with budgetary cycles

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with the Sponsor's Partners
