Randstad have an opportunity with a Major Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC.
The position will partner with The Initiative Management Team to facilitate execution of initiatives enabling the Wholesale Tax team to meet regulatory requirements related to IRS Chapter 61, 3, and 4. The role will require a blend of project management and business analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Project Manager is responsible for project management activities related to Wholesale Tax Program with an initial focus on tax information reporting. The successful candidate will demonstrate expert competency in project management and aptitude to quickly work in business acumen in Wholesale Banking, Risk Management, and Tax Regulations. This is a hands-on role to support the Tax Program leadership to develop and implement new and advanced Tax capabilities. The successful candidate will be a person that rolls up their sleeves and is engaged in the details of the implementation.
The Project Manager is responsible for:
Provide leadership, oversight and direction for tax initiatives including project plan development, tracking of key milestones and deliverables, identifying integration and coordination points across functions and communicating progress broadly
Actively planning and facilitating meetings to drive the implementation of projects, including willingness to arrange meetings, keep meeting minutes, and track detailed follow-up action items
Identifies, negotiates and recommends solutions aligned with business strategic priorities. Demonstrated ability to draft documentation and utilize resources/research to assist in development of project artifacts and supporting materials
Facilitate the gathering and documentation of business requirements and the translation of those requirements to the technology and data management solutions teams
Develop and drive execution of complex project plans, works with Tax team members to understand complex regulations and focuses on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines, and tracking execution of corrective actions.
Proactively manage priority updates, staging what and when updates come to the leadership team for planning and decisions and provide insights and updates to the leadership on status
Creates and assist in delivery of presentations to senior management and stakeholders on key project plans as well as functional/operational design and implementation artifacts
Assist functional and operational leaders to develop, track & report key metrics and reporting requirements
2+ years of Wholesale Banking or similar experience
10+ years of managing projects or change initiatives with at least 5 years within the Financial Services Industry
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including MS Project and Visio)
Proficiency with SharePoint
Ability to interact and communicate with senior leaders and business partners across the Wholesale business
Experience in leading and influencing virtual teams
- 4 year college degree
2+ years in Tax experience or a related discipline
Liaison experience between business teams and technology service delivery teams
