Kforce Technical Project Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Kforce has a client that is searching for a Technical Project Manager for any location, remote acceptable.Essential Functions:

  • Provide program leadership, which includes oversight of 10 workstreams; activities include requirements definition, program planning, implementation of multiple interrelated infrastructure components, system testing, and user enablement

  • Manage a complex Microsoft Project Server schedule with multiple EIT and LOB dependencies to track against business outcomes

  • Complete all required program and project management deliverables, include program status reporting

  • Responsible for leading project teams and managing all activities in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) associated with high visibility projects that are long-term, across one or more lines of business and carry a substantial impact to the relevant businesses

  • Interacts with senior leadership and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs or projects

  • Consults with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements, budgets and business cases, including statements of work

  • Creates and delivers presentations on program or project goals and plans, including progress reports

  • Responsible for end-to-end program or project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end

  • Develops and implements program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics

  • 10+ years project management experience

  • This candidate needs to have excellent communication skills and be very polished and professional

  • They need to have a "consultant-like" mentality and demeanor

  • Needs to have solid technical project management experience managing the full project lifecycle

  • Experience working in a very structured project management methodology environment

  • Needs to have excellent soft skills and ability to build good working relationships cross-functionally and across other projects

  • Good detailed project planning skills and ability to manage from a project plan

  • It is a critical requirement that they need to be assertive and be able to successfully "drive" their project team to completion; not just a box checker

  • Agile experience is a plus

Additional Skills:

  • Experience managing TMT infrastructure programs from initiation through execution and completion

  • Ability to broker challenging negotiations with multiple executive EIT and LOB stakeholders that may have competing/conflicting agendas

  • Thought leadership for direction setting, asking clarifying questions, identifying appropriate issues and risks, and developing effective mitigation strategies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely report project status to senior leadership

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
