Network Engineer

This is a contingent position.

PAE is currently seeking Network Engineers based in Charlottesville, VA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Integrate new technologies into local and wide area networks

  • Employ advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems

  • Perform administration duties for networking hardware including routers, switches, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, network bridges, moderns, ISDN adapters, firewalls, and other related network hardware

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, physical science or engineering along with certifications for Information System Security Representative (ISSR) and Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/3

  • 10 years' experience in data network planning engineering and design

  • 3 years' experience in the areas of network and computer software/hardware interconnection and interfacing such as routers, multiplexes, hubs, bridges, and gateways

  • Extensive experience and understanding of fiber and copper-based Ethernet technologies, capabilities, and cabling, as well as their connectivity to local and wide area networks

  • Experience with developing and maintaining configuration control documentation

  • Current ESRI Enterprise Administration Associate Certification and ESRI Enterprise

System Design Associate Certification or equivalent certifications

  • Currently have an active DoD Secret security clearance

  • U.S. citizenship

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current DoD TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph
