PAE is seeking multiple Project Managers to support an Intelligence Community (IC) opportunity in the Northern Virginia region. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in directing projects and activities associated with the execution of CBRNE, forensics, biometrics, or other science related programs in the IC environment.

Responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct/supervise all support resources for the performance of the project assignments and activities

  • Supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their disciplines

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of the assigned project and provide a single point of contact for this project.

  • Take the project from original concept through final implementation.

  • Interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.

  • Define project scope and objectives.

  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

  • Conducts project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team.

  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

  • May supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their regular disciplines.

  • May serve as the primary or assistant technical and management interface for the company, customer, and senior staff.

  • Responsible for the preparation of and accountability for all contract deliverables.

  • Prepare and approve Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols and other technical documentation.

  • Ensure specific Task Order requirements are satisfied as defined, on schedule and with established costs

  • Ensure contractor and sub-contractor staff perform their duties in accordance with all applicable Government prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Provide prepared status reports and in-process reviews

  • Provide management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection and accountability for contract deliverables

  • Organize and lead meetings/briefings and working groups as directed by the government and oversee all acquisition actions

  • Potential Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) travel may be required as needed


Candidates must have or meet the following requirements:

  • An active DoD Top Secret with SCI access security clearance

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry, forensics, or engineering coupled with five (5) years of experience managing or supporting CBRNE or science related programs in the IC environment

  • Advanced management certification (i.e., Program Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA Level II in Program Management)

Desired Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant area of study

  • Background in forensic science or other science, and experience working in laboratory environments is a plus
