Providing Incredible, Knowledge Based Customer Service

Proactively approach customers, answer any questions they have about products, and offer suggestions to complement or complete a meal

Seek to learn about varieties of cheeses and other products, share beverage and food pairings ideas with customers while performing demos and proactively offering customers samples

Cut, wrap, weigh, and label cheeses as customers request

Ensuring High Quality Products & Ingredients

Ensure overall appearance of the department by setting up cases and coolers with proper signage and well-merchandised product to display quality and highlight featured items

Work with team to pulling cheese from cases, record shrink, trim, rewrap, reweigh, label products, keep cases cleaned, supplies stocked and product levels sustained

Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures

Preferred Skills and Experience

Customer service experience, preferably in food service, grocery or retail setting

Working knowledge of, and experience working with, a variety of cheeses

Knowledge of and passion for food, beverages and pairings Work Environment

Work involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment

Typical motions include repetitive hand and are movements, bending and reaching

Responsible for moving and lifting 5-15 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of greater than 50 pounds occasionally

Must be able to use knives, cheese cutting equipment and hand/power jack

Will spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours

May be exposed to various allergens and various work environments, including cold temperatures
