Focus: focus is on Infrastructure, with a keen understanding of application requirements implications to underlying infrastructure (e.g. F&A) and LoB infrastructure requirements (e.g. Development).
Business analysis adds value to every client engagement by mediating between business and IT, applying methodology knowledge and topic expertise for a superior partner satisfaction and end-user experience
The Business Engagement Manager should be the first contact and assist customers to formulate new or changed business requirements. The BEM conducts regular meetings with the customer to align and support the LoB strategies based on their business roadmap with IT IS delivery units. Active communication of information to customer on identified issues (problem management) or planned changes to Services as well as alignment of pricing and charging models for a financial transparency. Drive a pro-active efficiency gains landscape simplification / retirement (Server Lifecycle Management) and be able to manage conflicts and escalations in case of problems.
Managing of the IT IS Service Portfolio Management which includes a Lifecycle Management of all IT IS related service offerings to the customers. It transforms business requirements into (new) service offerings to the IT IS Business Service Catalog and offers price services based on cost estimation from Solution Design Demand Management: Meet with customers (LoB's), Controlling, TFM and IT IS delivery units at regular intervals to plan long-and mid-term demand to ensure proper budgeting (annual demand planning) and update of forecast throughout the year (Demand Plan Maintenance) in order to derive
capacity demands and ensure right resources available and benefit for IT spend for LoB in relationship to the LoB specific KPIs. Analyzing of impact of business requirements into overall and in-detail (future) delivery capabilities of SAP IT Infrastructure Services.
Continuous Improvement Service moderates regular Service Delivery Reviews with LoB’s and with Infrastructure Services Delivery units to facilitate and steer Service Get Well Plans and other improvement initiatives for specific customers. It includes also monitoring and reporting service quality and budget consumption delivered towards delivery.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
*Detailed design of corporate function processes (e.g. Business Process Outsourcing, Shared Service Center,
*Advanced Budgeting, M&A, Consolidation)
*Work with business to summarize and define requirement through the Business Request form and Statement of Work.
*Maintains the Business Request Summary
*Identification of enterprise services
*Reviews (organizational structures, shared service-center approach…)
*Support for Business Planning to customer business strategy
*Map and validate performance indicators
*Develop and support test strategies and other QA initiatives
*Process design and realization (without software implementation) for corporate functions
Service Portfolio Management:
*Supports COO alignment for strategy formulation and key initiative definition
*Aligns with Portfolio Consultants on Project Budget topics
*Makes validation checks of IT Portfolio in Portfolio Planning Tool
*Prepares information for input to the COO and LoB Councils
*Supports preparation of IT Steering Councils
*Monitors and reports on Infrastructure Delivery Performance
*Proactively engages LoB and Delivery to improve performance, lower TCO
*Drives resolution of escalated issues in all phases (Plan-Build-Run)
*Knowledge of one or more functional business process (Marketing, Finance, etc.)
*Managing projects / individual work streams/deliverables including coordinating project members
*Strong infrastructure know-how and a good technical understanding
*Perspective on current IT trends and their impact on business strategies
*Understand Cloud business and SAP Cloud models / solutions
*Understand of financial & controlling processes & measurements
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
*Master Degree or equivalents in Business Administration, Computer Science, Technical Engineering, Economics or related field
*ITIL knowledge and skills are beneficial (Expert level or at least Foundation level)
*English written and verbally
