Manager for in-house legal department handling all aspects of eDiscovery issues, including data collections, employee change monitoring, litigation hold software management, and training of employees about eDiscovery obligations.


Under direction of supervising attorney(s):

  • Responsible for supporting the Legal Department in compliance efforts with respect to eDiscovery and case management

  • Track active litigation matters from litigation hold through collection, processing, and delivery of electronically stored information

  • Work directly with IT groups and internal team members on eDiscovery projects

  • Coordinate efforts between in-house counsel, outside counsel, and vendors

  • Provide consultation to case teams in the planning, organization, and management of eDiscovery matters from collection through case close out

  • Document eDiscovery activities throughout the life of matters

  • Create process workflows to assist internal and external teams to perform work in an efficient and cost-effective manner

  • Maintain tracking logs and chain of custody for data collected, received, and shipped

  • Assist IT as a project manager for new eDiscovery and technology tools

  • Provide and conduct eDiscovery training process improvement initiatives

  • Conduct document collection interviews for matters

  • Keep abreast of new eDiscovery initiatives, including assessing new platforms and software



  • 8+ years of experience in relevant industry and BA/BS degree required


  • Paralegal certification preferred



  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills

  • Must be process oriented and value documentation

  • Must be able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Sound knowledge of litigation and discovery lifecycle in order to anticipate downstream issues

  • Foundation of knowledge around technology and IT systems

  • Must have good written, verbal, and organizational skills along with attention to detail


  • Experience with eDiscovery platforms and software


  • Prior eDiscovery industry or law firm experience required

  • Experience coordinating and executing eDiscovery and IT projects required


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
