The role is responsible for operationally implementing Ariba services strategy; driving improvement initiatives; offering advice and counsel to delivery leadership on operational performance; and managing critical ongoing processes such as forecasting and utilization reporting that directly impact revenue recognition. In addition, this role is responsible for ongoing analysis and recommendations relating to the EMEA services delivery and services sales activity.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
Be a key contributor and thought leader on the use of internal tools within the company. Assist leadership where needed by providing data analysis and automate as many manual processes as possible.
Serves as regional point of contact for the global team in supporting new internal tools adoption. Activities may include early training and adoption, testing, checking master data, checking output, advising on tool setup.
Troubleshoot adoption, train the team, support Q&A.
Help the leadership team identify training gaps and support building a training calendar with appropriate training resources.
Assist with the administration and management of individual professional development plans as necessary.
Collecting weekly executive summaries and monthly project statuses per email or in SAP system.
Creating a management dashboard based on these updates and distributing to leadership.
Track utilization by issuing a weekly report.
Troubleshoot issues that team members encounter to enter their time accurately in SAP system.
Issue staffing requests when needed in support of Project Managers and team managers.
Verify budget and scoped hours, to advise team on staffing requests.
Channel team’s internal orders creation and staffing.
Provide quarterly numbers to global operations and the compensation team for bonus payouts.
Support an offline process for utilization forecasting until the Resource Management tool is available.
Support ongoing Q&A from team members on task types and utilization topics.
Chase Project Managers and team managers, sense check accuracy of revenue forecast.
Identify rightful owners for projects when missing or wrong.
Identify proper scope of work and budget of projects when needed.
Ensuring data accuracy for forecasting.
Providing leadership with summary assessments of forecast, including historical precedents.
Driving continuous improvement on forecast process and data.
Assist with calculations of project cost/margin/overrun.
Using knowledge, data, and skills to provide insightful, fact-based decision making analysis for the leadership team.
Assist with capacity planning to support headcount adjustment discussions with Finance.
Assist with contracting and Scope of Work writing, in coordination with Legal and Resourcing.
Initiate Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders, in coordination with Finance.
Other Operational Issues
Assist leadership with any information gathering to prepare senior leadership Quarterly Business Reviews and other meetings.
Be familiar with and able to explain all of the team’s Key Performance Indicators.
Coordinate with other teams in the region (Seller Management Organisation, Shared Service Delivery, Commerce Integration, Services Sales, Customer Engagement Executives) and maintain global alignment with other operations teams.
Organize venue, accommodation, general coordination for a successful team meeting.
Assist with agenda creation, survey team expectations, liaise with external speakers.
Plan and track attendance.
Survey team satisfaction.
Send email invitations and manage Q&A leading up to the event.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES :
An extremely high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel demonstrated through the ability to utilize advanced functionality, including (but not limited to) pivot tables, logical and statistical formulas, lookup and reference formulas
Systematically investigating a problem to better understand a situation. Identifying and interpreting underlying trends, interrelationships and cause-effect relationships among seemingly unrelated pieces of data. Drawing logical inferences and making rational recommendations based on the application of inductive and deductive reasoning skills.
