Position Summary

The Marketing Project Manager demonstrates extensive Retail or Consumer products industry knowledge and experience through the facilitation, implementation and support of SAP products to enhance the clients’ business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.

The Principal level role is considered the senior thought leader in the area of Retail and CPG marketing programs and solution expertise. They utilize their advanced business skills in consulting and problem solving to create customer value, oftentimes in high profile, strategic accounts. They should continually maintain a high degree of knowledge and understanding of their area of expertise, business process and solutions, keep current with release levels, industry issues, and market trends. They should assume responsibility for the successful implementation of SAP processes, solutions, and products within assigned accounts for their core area of expertise. They will make strategic and tactical recommendations and decisions for customers/externally regularly and will advise management internally on a regular basis

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop business case analytics around ROI and TCO based on customer results

  • Develop and tailor lead and sales generation programs

  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations with customers and internal teams

  • Collect and present information about market and industry trends, especially in the Retail and CPG industry

  • Manage teams of 3 to 5 to deliver Marketing programs with customers

  • Thought leader and knowledge champion for internal teams especially in Retail and CPG industry.


  • Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in business, marketing, or related field;

  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience

  • 6 years of customer facing experience OR Equivalent engagement as a customer.

  • Project experience with one or many Marketing programs such as:

  • Marketo

  • Anaplan

  • Domo

  • PMP certification is a plus, but not required

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder communications and engagement

  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers

  • Strong abilities in program development and management.

  • The successful candidate can creatively address customer marketing programmatic needs and can show measurable results.
