The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for technical sales, contractor training and field technical support of the USG Securock ExoAir 430 system. This position will also be an integral member of the Building Envelope – Air Barrier management team that leads the continued development of the USG Building Envelope Solutions business with specific responsibility to provide market input on portfolio enhancements & prioritization.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the technical sales management, training & support relationship with field sales employees.
Coordinate with the various shared service sales teams to develop and train a solid contractor base to support adoption of the Securock ExoAir 430 system.
Coordinate with the partner sales and technical organization to support sales of the Securock ExoAir 430 system.
Work with USG sales lead to become the technical resource for key customer accounts and ultimately the “one-two punch” that will enable us to take our Building Envelope Solutions business to the next level.
Coordinate with product management, research and development and manufacturing to develop, prioritize and implement a comprehensive air barrier portfolio.
Effectively communicate with the USG Building Envelope Solutions team as well as the appropriate USG Business Units and Shared Sales teams when necessary.
Provide technical leadership and support for field sales and marketing plans and programs.
Manage administrative duties, such as operating within budget, SFA integration and adoption, etc.
•Previous experience in Sales and/or Marketing • Strong understanding of air barrier industry products, industry knowledge and technical expertise. Solid understanding of 2012 & 2015 ICC, ASHRAE 90.1-2013, and applicable ASTM standards for air barriers. • Well versed in commercial construction scheduling, estimating and execution. • Possess a strong work ethic and bring a high level of energy to this fast paced developing opportunity. • Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship building, and analytical skills. • Proven track record of leading and influencing people/teams not reporting directly to you. • Excellent project management, problem solving and time management skills • Respected within his/her field. • Results oriented, proven track record. • Position location has some flexibility with a preference for the Eastern half of the U.S. and a preferred major market such as Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Cleveland, or Baltimore as examples. • Ability to travel throughout U.S. approximately 50%-75% of the time.
•*Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field and MBA preferred. • 2-3 years experience in Product Management or 5-7 years outside sales experience. • Hands-on AWB installation/application skills and experience. • Membership in ABAA
