Bayer Area Sales Manager in Chicago, Residence Based, IL, Illinois
Your tasks and responsibilities
The territories covered by this role include the following states: NE, MN, IA, WI, IL, CO, ND, SD, WY, ID, and MT. It is a residence based role but a candidate based within 90 miles of Chicago would be ideal for these territories.
The primary responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager are:
• Build & Maintain relationship with the distribution network in the area. Drive the external sales force (e.g. DSR) to create value for Bayer range of product, create and monitor KPI to focus efforts on Bayer’s priorities; • Provide and implement distribution account management tools, forecasting systems, inventory reporting and trade marketing plans to distribution accounts in the area. Provide monthly distribution account forecasts; • Create and present the product line review to the customers and end users in the area; • Provide the high level of technical product training and support to the key customers and end user’s technical directors and managers; • Implement the national & regional sales policies; • Create demand at the end user level. Analyze end user area sales monthly and propose market share development plans to management; • Report market evolution and competitor activities monthly.

• BS Degree with minimum of 7 + years relevant industry experience or Non-degreed with 10 years relevant industry experience; • Excellent presentation and selling skills, including use of support software; • High capacity to define priorities and to allocate his/her time resources; • Excellent technical knowledge; • Strong knowledge of the category management principles; • Ability to manage execution of all channel programs and marketing concepts; • Ability to travel approx. 50% of the time; • Precise and concise reporting.
