Job Description

The Director Talent Acquisition is responsible for the guidance of the recruiting team in attracting, recruiting, and retaining agent workforce. This position will lead the recruiting team in executing creative talent acquisition programs that address immediate and long-term staffing goals.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

  • Establish recruiting goals and expectations for recruiting team including efficiency and effectiveness measures and monitor performance against these goals

  • Constantly delivering results on commitments with integrity

  • Partner with Workforce Management, Sales, and Capacity Planning to review new business opportunities and available capacity for appropriate program placement

  • Provide strategic and tactical resourcing advice to recruiting leaders to facilitate the creation of robust and achievable recruiting and sourcing plans

  • Research and make recommendations for new locations; liaison with community partners to understand opportunities

  • Strategize with others internally and externally to understand and identify new trends and best practices

  • Develop market knowledge and team capability to identify and manage a robust talent pipeline

  • Support revenue delivery and profitability through managing best candidates to start training and graduate into operations

  • Lead the development of recruiting policies and procedures and ensures policies are in compliance with Convergys goals as well as external regulations

  • Meet with appropriate leadership to gain an understanding of positions in their organization and competencies required to fill positions

  • Determine proper avenues for sourcing, including external search firms, internet, media, staffing firms, professional associations, referrals, etc. and manage channel effectiveness

  • Build and manage relationships as well as negotiate contracts with external resources at various sourcing options

  • Develop and manage to recruiting budget including cost per hire attainment

  • Evaluate recruiting tools and recommends changes to and investment in new technologies to make sourcing more efficient

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and hiring managers to create sourcing strategy and develop compelling offers to chosen candidates

  • Oversee compilation of hiring forecast and trend reports and the gathering of feedback on recent hires by to support regular meetings with client groups

  • Establish and clearly communicate departmental strategy to management team

  • Providing feedback regarding tactical operations for department including budgeting, goal setting, and managing performance

  • Determining and implementing appropriate staffing and customer interaction guidelines for work team(s)

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in related field 12+ years of experience (with at least 4-6 years of progressive management experience) relevant experience preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Proven ability to lead team in organizing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment

  • Mastery of communication skills and styles, both written and verbal; demonstrated ability to effectively present information to internal and external associates

  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategy behind mentoring and coaching for team(s) and to act as leadership advisor to lower-level management

  • Demonstrated ability to champion significant projects, programs, and business initiatives using creativity and ingenuity

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

  • Advanced ability to interpret and analyze recruiting metrics and trends: retention, quality of hire, net throughput, etc.

  • Extensive understanding of the organization's business operations and industry; knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to influence
