Job Description

ITW Evercoathas an opening for a Human Resources Generalist to join our manufacturing teamin Blue Ash, OH. This position will act as a business partner to the various Evercoatbusinesses and client groups.

Responsibilitiesto include:

Managing talent acquisition, including determining staffing strategies, reviewing applications, screening, interviewing candidates and partnering with managers throughout the process. Organize and conduct new employee orientation. Creates coordinates and conducts management/employee training,

Benefits administration, including communicating benefit information to employees and assisting with claim resolutions as needed. Partnering with HR management to address and resolve employee relations issues

Conducting wage surveys within various labor markets to determine appropriate wage rates for production, clerical and other hourly employees. Ensuring effectiveness for various employee facing programs, such as Wellness initiatives and annual United Way campaigns. Plays an active role in the development of Affirmative Action Plans (AAP’s) and assisting with communication and review of outcomes with management team. Maintaining HRIS records and personnel files. Updates and maintains HR policies and procedures ensure compliance with law, corporate policies and business objectives are complete.

Operates as a business partner/advisor to business functions understanding the business strategies, goals, objectives and financial performance of the organization.

Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, or related major (some graduate education highly desired). HR Certification a plus!

5+ years of HR Generalist experience required; manufacturing background preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment processes, benefit and compensation administration and practices, payroll administration, employee relations, and legal compliance requirements.

Strong written/verbal communication skills are essential as this individual needs to be able to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and sometime emotional issues.

Solid understanding of basic governmental regulations and employment law a must, along with ability to research, analyze and interpret various types of data.

Strong organizational skills needed, combined with the ability to prioritize work and manage projects.

Ability to make independent decisions and regularly suggest ways to improve services and processes.

Strong technical skills / aptitude: Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, and Excel). Experience with HRIS System (Workday is the preference, but not required). Experience with an online applicant tracking system a plus.

Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information.

Ability to travel 25 - 35%.
