Database Administrator

PAE is currently seeking a Database Administrator based in NSWC, Dahlgren, VA

May be required to travel OCONUS (as needed)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Government in the design, development and maintenance of WEAT software and database.

  • Document the design, development and maintenance of all aspects of the WEAT system

  • Assist the Government in the testing of the WEAT system and document all software testing via a Software Test Plan (STP) and each formal round of testing with a Software Test Report (STR).

  • Assist the Government in the definition, collection, and refinement of WEAT requirements. These will be documented and maintained a Software Requirements Specification (SRS).

  • Assist in the planning, programming, installation, testing, and transition of current and future instances of WEAT. These WEAT instances may be deployed CONUS, OCONUS or on shipboard and may require additional documentation per location.

  • Document and maintain interoperability with all systems defined by the Government such as, Combined Information Data Network Exchange (CIDNE), and the Asymmetric Threat and Tactical Analysis Casebook (ATTAC). Additional limited interoperability with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Justice Trax is also required.

  • Assist the Government in transporting and installation of the system updates from the NIPRNET to the SIPRNET and CENTRIX systems at the designated locations.

  • Assist in training users on the WEAT capability.

  • Assist the Government with documentation, software updates, database updates, and network administration to maintain or attain any WEAT Authority to Operate/Interim Authority to Operate (ATO/IATO).

  • Assist the Government in all accreditation documentation for WEAT installations such as; System Identification Profile (SIP), DIACAP Implementation Plan (DIP), DIACAP Scorecard, Plan Of Action & Milestones (POAM), and other documentation necessary to support accreditation.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree coupled with 5+ years’ experience; OR an Associate’s degree coupled with 8+ years’ experience; OR a High School diploma coupled with 11+ years’ experience coupled with 5 years of experience in the design, development, maintenance, and administration of SQL Databases.

  • Must hold the Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8570 Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level II Certification(s) required to work on government IT systems.

  • bMust be able to successfully pass all medical requirements for deployment.

  • Valid US Passport that will not expire throughout deployment.

  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, excel spreadsheets.
