CGI is seeking a Division Order Analyst II in Dallas, TX! This is an intermediate-level position responsible for processing transfers of interest between third parties based on title documents, as well as handling owner inquires and discrepancies. This is a full-time opportunity with CGI, and all benefits start on your first day of employment!
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Review and analyze title documents (deeds, assignments, probates, title opinions, affidavits). Process ownership changes and prepare accounting (Revenue & JIB) transfer exhibits.
Review signed D.Os authorizing payment or suspense of revenue pending further documentation.
Respond to owner inquiries (email, written, phone); research and resolution of ownership issues and interest discrepancies. Investigates revenue suspense (and escheat); interface with Revenue & JIB Accounting, and Owner Relations Group.
Maintain log of ownership transfers.
Assist in preparation of Division Orders and burden spreadsheets (includes analysis of agreements, poolings, AMIs, etc.).
Perform calculations of owner interest and review title curative.
Review and analyze agreements, opinions, plats, leases, contracts, poolings, etc.
Determine and calculate leasehold and unit interests.
Prepare burden spreadsheets, analyze title requirements, resolve decimal discrepancies, and cure title defects.
Liaise with owners, partners, attorneys, and purchasers in obtaining or providing data and/or explanations.
Assist in DOI preparation and problem resolution.
Prepare deal sheets and performs calculations of interest for all owners in new wells. Prepares division orders and burden spreads to be mailed to owners.
Review and analyze agreements, assignments, pooling orders, farmouts, AMIs, survey plats, ownership reports and various title documents.
Review title opinions and cure title defects. Interact with owners, landmen and attorneys
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications.
Able to learn company specific applications.
Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
Able to effectively abide company policies, procedures, and technology.
Able to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Knowledge of oil and gas vocabulary.
Ability to read and understand standard and routine legal descriptions for a tract of land and interpret land title information.
Knowledge of oil and gas leases, deeds, and title curative documents.
Knowledge of lease provisions and their implications to lease records.
Knowledge of the different types of special obligations and payments.
Math skills and ability to perform division order calculations.
Bachelors degree from an accredited university at a minimum
