CGI is currently hiring a Lease Records Manager in Dallas, Texas, to lead a team of Lease Analysts in the Oil and Gas Practice to assist our clients with the outsourcing of back office DOA/lease/Landman functions during M&A activity, new software implementations, and long term outsourcing service contracts. This is a full-time role with CGI, and all benefits begin on your first day of employment!
Manage a team of CGI consultants for completion of due diligence associated with M&A activity and long term outsourcing service contracts for back office functions for CGI O&G clients.
Organize and direct all aspects of lease records in fee, state, and federal acreage plays.
Supervise lease analysts, including planning assignment of tasks and general workflow, training, and evaluation of employees.
Establish, implement, and supervise procedures for set-up and maintenance of all agreements including leases, contracts, and right-of-way to ensure accuracy of data.
Supervise payment of delay rentals, shut-in royalties, minimum royalty payments, surface and/or right-of-way payments, extension payments and any other payment required under the terms of the agreements.
Responsible for maintaining accurate acreage inventory to comply with reporting requirements including the preparation of assignments, exhibits, and reports as required.
Effectively analyze and interpret oil and gas leases to provide an understanding of the pertinent lease provisions affecting the bottom line.
Utilize databases to research lease and well information to provide a conclusion regarding the status of several of company assets.
Perform yearly process improvement and build sessions with Land Administration in order to increase efficiency and performance.
Possess strong working relationships with Land, Contracts, Accounting, Legal, and those within Land Administration responsibilities.
Responsible for training Landman on processes and systems associated to their functions.
SOX coordinator responsible for updating processes and controls and coordinating control testing.
Perform work associated with new lease setup, maintenance, and analyzing wells off production.
Lead land system software upgrade and enhancement projects for CGI O&G clients.
Collaborate with multiple departments to develop and implement new processes and procedures to increase efficiencies.
Develop and maintain database interfaces to enhance data integrity.
Perform database based reporting of domestic Land position used on annual 10-K filings
Establish processes and organizational structure to ensure lease protection, contractual obligations, SOX compliance, and accurate reporting.
Handle all land administration team related issues that arise.
Assist with the recruiting, selection, hiring, and training of Lease team members
Provide timely responses to inquiries from and work closely with land, exploration, operations, and accounting departments.
Create and process all land related data for acquisitions and divestitures.
Produce acreage figures for press releases, investor presentations, and corporate reporting.
10+ years of relevant experience in Lease Records, Property Administration, Landman, or Lease Analyst experience
3 years of relevant experience as a Lease Records Supervisor, Lease Records Manager, or Manager of Records Management.
A four year Bachelors Degree in Business, Technology, Education, or Law or equivalent technical degree is preferred
