Allied Consultants Security Analyst in Dallas, Texas

Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 25 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Security Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsible for implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data. Information security analysts are expected to stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, in order to anticipate security breaches. They also are responsible for preventing data loss and service interruptions by researching new technologies that will effectively protect a network. They are responsible for insuring all networks have adequate security to prevent unauthorized access. They must ensure that all security systems are current with any software or hardware changes in the company. They must plan and document all security information in the company including physical and internet security. Perform procedures and processes necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

Years Skills/Experience

5 Experience in information security administration, compliance; creating, testing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

5 Experience in network security, wireless security, application security, infrastructure hardening and security baselines, web server and database security.

5 Experience performing risk/vulnerability assessments and testing of data processing systems.

5 Experience installing firewalls, data encryption and other security measures

5 Experience recommending security enhancements and purchases.

3 Experience reviewing audit logs utilizing SIEM tools.

3 Experience installing and using antivirus solutions and identity management.

3 Experience in the management of implementation and management of enterprise web content filtering system.

3 Experience developing reports about the efficiency of security policies and recommend any changes.

3 Experience in organizing and conducting fundamentals of safe computing and security training for employees.


Skills/Experience Security+ CISSP certification CEH Cloud+ and/or Cloud security experience
