Position Description:

Under general guidance, the Surgical Sales Representative (SSR) will provide sales and promotion of Allergan Medical surgical products, maintain customer base, develop new markets, and obtain new customers in the assigned goegraphy. This position will be responsible for selling Natrelle Breast Implants and Tissue Expanders

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Educate the customer regarding indications, contraindications, and safety of the products, and how they fulfill the needs of the customer.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of the industry and competitor's products.

  • Execute territory coverage for maximum impact on sales.

  • Perform effective territory and account management.

  • Maintain up-to-date territory files and account profiles.

  • Pre-plan sales calls and maintain efficient time management skills to ensure maximum customer contact and highest level of customer service.

  • Provide technical training to the customer on application and use of the company's products. Perform effective product presentations and demonstrations.

  • Prepare sales contracts, quotes, prices, and terms.

  • Complete administrative responsibilities, quarterly business plans, weekly expense reports, up-to-date account profiles and computer customer database.

  • Participate in industry-related trade shows/meetings.

  • Develop and maintain productive and effective relationships with peers, superiors and external contacts.

  • Demonstrate a high standard of work ethics and professionalism to peers, superiors and external contacts at all times.

  • Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.



The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Sales Experience

  • Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or a related field.

  • Knowledge of clinical, surgical techniques and procedures, and medical terminology.

Preferred Skills/Qualification

  • Skill in managing time effectively.

  • Ability to effectively prepare and present presentations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with employees of various disciplines within various departments and all other internal and external contacts.

  • Ability to work independently and plan extensively to meet goals.Ability to accurately perform detail-oriented work.

  • Ability to be flexible in changing daily workload priorities as directed.

  • Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

  • Ability to coordinate and synchronize multiple projects.

  • Ability to function in a controlled environment and handle confidential data.


  • Bachelor Degree or higher level degree is required
