Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide design support in the development of communications and educational material to members of client pension schemes about their benefits. They will join an existing team of three in creating innovative and engaging communications materials, including but not necessarily restricted to booklets, newsletters, presentations, posters, emails, infographics. Experience in illustration and animation would be an advantage.

Business/Unit Summary

The Communications area focusses on delivering messages and educational material to employees of client companies around the nature of their pension benefits and around the need to ensure an adequately financed retirement.

Report To: Consumer Communications Leader

Responsibilities

  • Provide Desk Top Publishing and Graphic Design support to the Consumer team

  • Design and deliver creative and engaging employee benefit communications and educational material

  • Work within agreed brand guidelines for each project

  • Drive projects to completion and ensure that they are technically correct and meet all compliance requirements

  • Liaise with consultants and client to agree and document member needs and objectives and ensure delivery of these objectives

  • Take overall responsibility for delivery to the client of the agreed services

  • Help team to deliver financial targets

  • Adhere to Mercer billing standards

  • Acquire technical knowledge of pensions to the required standard

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 3 years of communications design experience preferred.

  • Fluent English

  • Third level degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Education or Marketing desirable.

  • No specific qualifications required if design skills are demonstrable through a suitable portfolio (e.g., any relevant graphic design, presentations, infographics, illustrations, video, animation etc.)
