Robert Half Finance & Accounting Senior Staff Accountant in DULUTH, Georgia
My client in Gwinnett County is seeking a senior staff accountant. Manufacturing experience, 3+ years accounting experience, ERP software, Accounting or Finance degree is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monthly Financial Statement Process – Including monthly journal entries, reconciliation of accounts as well as review of balance sheet and income statement.
Bank Borrowing Base Reporting (BBR) – Responsible for preparation and submission of weekly and monthly BBR reports.
Audits – Prepare items for audit process. Distribute and monitor progress on PBC lists and schedules required prior to fieldwork. Ensure all requests are met promptly and accurately.
Royalties – Coordinate with licensing agencies, auditors, IT personnel and the art department to ensure contract compliance. Requires understanding and knowledge of licensing requirements and the ability to work with multiple departments to ensure changes are implemented successfully.
Commissions – Calculate, review and resolve any issues that arise with our monthly commission process. Perform commission audits as required.
Compliance Reporting – Submission of Sales & Use Tax, Debt Compliance Reporting, Fixed Assets, Corporate requests and general accounting issues.
General – Point of contact for general accounting questions.
Cash Bank Reconciliations – Preparation of bank reconciliations and maintaining supporting files. Research and post/explain any corrections needed for AR. Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating Insurance Submission Renewals
SOX Compliance and Access Control Testing
Coordinating with Corporate Accounting to ensure Fixed Asset compliance
Assist with preparation of Annual Plan and quarterly forecasts
Monthly distribution of SG&A; reports to various department managers
Other projects, duties and tasks as assigned Desired Education and Experience
Relevant degree required (experience will be considered)
Proficiency in MS Office Product Suite, specifically Excel
Minimum of five to seven years accounting experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Desired Skills and Abilities
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills
Well organized and detail oriented
