Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities: • Deliver KPI reporting and other core monthly Logistics financial reporting and analysis for business leadership review across BHC divisions, and in total, including variance analysis, professional reconciliations, and appropriate root cause commentary. • Use real-time supply chain analytics, Business Intelligence tools and other tools/signals to develop insights and communicate results within Logistics and as appropriate cross-functionally. • Work with Logistics interfaces on cross-business initiatives and financial analysis with US Headquarters, as well as Field Sales and other functions. Examples of projects include Cost-to-Serve, Differentiated Pricing, Stock keeping Cost, Customer Dispute Resolution and Policy issues such as Coupon Redemption, Damage & Obsolescence, Markdown and Returns, etc. • Participate in and contribute ad hoc analysis and insight to core operating initiatives and projects as prioritized. • Become familiar with core transactional work in the operation, assisting in trade deduction management, key performance measures, customer analysis and scorecards, fund controls, Rebates, Pricing, Chargeback, Returns, Internal Controls compliance and other parts of the Order to Cash cycle. • Analyze “platform” costs and options within the larger global footprint of Logistics within Bayer (operating partnerships with Pharmaceutical, Consumer Health, Diabetes Care, and Animal Health).

• BS/BA required. Majors in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred. • MBA or advanced degree a plus, but not required. • 2+ years relevant experience in consumer products, consumer healthcare or similar supply-chain area is preferred. • Strong data retrieval, data manipulation and data analysis skills are essential. • Demonstrated success providing value-added analysis and business reporting to multiple functions and constituents. • Experience with Activity-based costing, discounted cash flow, and other analytics methods is strongly desired. • Effective communication skills: oral, written, listening. • Solid presentation skills desired. • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills. • Able to deal effectively with multiple levels of management and across functions to get results. • Strong team skills. Should effectively participate in a team environment and be able to demonstrate ability to facilitate team meetings and team work plans. • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently use PC and mainframe computer applications: Windows, MSOffice (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), SAP. • Microsoft Excel proficient user. • Familiarity and experience with SAP and Data Warehouse environments and tools is desired. • Previous experience in healthcare or consumer packaged goods company is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to efficiently process both electronic and manual transactions that impact ledger accounts and financials. •Experience in process development and process improvement is a plus.
