Bayer Manager of E-Commerce in Edison Lakes, IN, Indiana
Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Manager of E-Commerce, are to: •Lead a team of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) analysts responsible for managing all customer-facing EDI and Data Synchronization (Data Sync) processes and activities for all Bayer divisions supported by the Customer Logistics Service Center (CLSC.) •Manage all aspects of daily EDI processing including the establishment of daily monitoring activities, troubleshooting of issues impacting successful receipt or delivery of customer Intermediate Documents (IDoc's) and daily maintenance of EDI tables and files to ensure highest degree of data integrity. Responsible for the development of performance metrics against which the EDI team can be measured. •Manage and delegate work associated with the setup and testing of transaction set changes with existing trading partners as well all the implementation of new trading partners. Prioritize workload, manage EDI team resources and maintain critical communication with trading partners, IT and Bayer business partners (CLSC Customer Logistics, Sales organization, etc.) about prioritization and timing. •Pro-actively engage IT resources to successfully manage all daily monitoring activities as well as new partner set-up and planning. Collaborate to drive efficient change management, enhancement and implementation processes. Work with this broader team to define and implement new and improved automated processes in support of all trading partners and to address and resolve complex EDI issues. •Own and plan for all EDI and Data Sync project-related activities associated with, but not limited to, upgrades of current technology (either internal or external) supporting EDI and Data Sync platforms, Bayer integration projects, integration of new business units into the Bayer platform environments, etc. Requires alignment with all internal IT and CLSC colleagues as well as with trading partner contacts. •Provide strategic direction to the EDI team in order to drive efficiencies through their processes and to enhance business collaboration with internal partners and key Bayer customers. Collaborate with broader Logistics Technology and Operational Excellence team to document processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities within team and across the CLSC. •Be responsible for planning and actively managing employee development from both a technical skillset perspective in support of EDI and Data Sync activities and from a Bayer business and CLSC functional perspective. Collaborate with CLSC leadership to drive cross-functional knowledge and training.

Required Qualifications: •BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in an SAP ERP environment with direct knowledge and experience in the maintenance and implementation of EDI transaction sets with a variety of trading partners. •Demonstrated capability in the following competencies: Plans & Aligns, Attracts & Develops Talent, Manages Ambiguity, Business Insights and Builds Effective Teams. •Proficient knowledge - or propensity to learn – about innovative technologies available to enhance electronic data transfer with customer and a willingness to explore the applicability of these technologies in order to support and sustain our positioning in the healthcare and CPG industry. •Excellent communication skills to successfully interact with internal Bayer Sales teams, CLSC Leadership and Customer Logistics colleagues, Bayer Business Technology Services (BBTS) IT colleagues, and all appropriate parties within the external customers/trading partners. •Proven ability to work individually as well as lead teams, building strong relationships and maintain rapport with business colleagues. •Ability to multi-task while meeting various deadlines, excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical skills required. Must have demonstrated ability and experience in driving successful business results at the intersection of business and technology.
Preferred Qualifications: •Knowledge and prior experience with the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN.)
